When it comes to date nights, it can seem ‘often enough’ to go once a month, or even less. But how often is often enough?
While parents with little children may find that date nights only happen twice a year, others may make it a weekly affair. Date nights break up the more mundane activities that happen throughout the working week. It’s that window of time when both of you can enjoy each other’s presence and the delights of the evening.
Depending on how your schedules align, a weekly date night is ideal. Many couples are turned off the idea of regular date nights as they assume they need to be an expensive and extravagant affair. However, it doesn’t always require a 3 course meal, but just that time allocated for each other with a shared activity is enough. A movie night without the kids, or a walk on the beach are the perfect ingredients for a simple romantic evening. Then perhaps every 3-4 months it’s time for a romantic getaway, to really change the pace. Check out some of our getaway packages here.
‘Often enough’ is subjective to what your relationship needs. When tensions are high and it’s realised that you aren’t having alone time together - more regular date nights are probably what you need.
