Enjoy one of the best urban day rides in Auckland from our base located in the heart of city.
This full day self-guided bike adventure begins in the Auckland CBD. The ride begins leisurely along Auckland’s waterfront, visiting the Viaduct Basic, Queens Wharf, Britomart Pavilions and along to the charming seaside village of Mission Bay. From here, riders are rewarded with spectacular views across the Haruaki Gulf after a challenging hill climb (which can be walked if necessary). The route then turns slightly inland through some of Auckland’s most lavish real estate, before arriving in lovely coastal wetlands where a picnic lunch can be enjoyed overlooking the ocean. After lunch, the ride turns back to the coastline, following another separated cycle lane linking in with Half Moon Bay. Hop on the ferry and relax as you see just how far you’ve ridden! This self-guided tour ends where it begins at our base in the heart of the city.
The route mainly follows safe, separated cycle lanes, but some riding on quieter residential streets is necessary. This experience is not suited to anyone with mobility issues, young children or anyone lacking confidence on a bicycle. A reasonable level of fitness is required to enjoy this experience.
